EXIF viewer/remover

View the metadata stored in a JPEG photo (camera, date, and more) and download a clean copy with that metadata removed. GPS data, if present, is shown only to you, on your device.

Files you choose stay on your device — they are not uploaded to Tools99.

Workspace: 1. Add files2. Ready3. Working4. Done — download

How this workspace works
  1. Choose a JPEG photo.
  2. Read its metadata — camera, date, and more.
  3. Download a clean copy with the metadata removed, if you want it gone.

GPS data, if present, is shown only on your device — it is never sent anywhere. All processing happens in your browser.

Your file never left this device, so there is no server copy to delete. Download again, start over, or continue with a related tool below.

How to use EXIF viewer/remover

  1. Choose a JPEG photo.
  2. Read its metadata — camera, date, and more.
  3. Download a clean copy with the metadata removed, if you want it gone.

A good use for this

Checking what a photo reveals about where and when it was taken, before posting it publicly.

Limits

GPS data, if present, is shown only to you, on your device — nothing is uploaded. Removing metadata does not change the photo itself, and some platforms add their own metadata when you upload.
