Text encryptor / decryptor

Encrypt text with a password using real AES-GCM encryption in your browser, and decrypt it with the same password. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Anything you type or paste stays in your browser — it is not uploaded to Tools99.

Workspace: 1. Add files2. Ready3. Working4. Done — download

How this workspace works
  1. Type the text to protect and choose a password.
  2. Encrypt it in your browser and copy the result.
  3. Decrypt it later with the same password — on this device or anywhere else you paste it.

Encryption uses AES-GCM with a PBKDF2-derived key (100,000 iterations) in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no password recovery.

Your text never left this browser, so there is no server copy to delete. Copy it again, start over, or continue with a related tool below.

How to use Text encryptor / decryptor

  1. Type the text to protect and choose a password.
  2. Encrypt it in your browser and copy the result.
  3. Decrypt it later with the same password — on this device or anywhere else you paste it.

A good use for this

Sending a sensitive note through an ordinary channel, readable only by someone with the password.

Limits

This is real AES-GCM encryption, but it is only as strong as the password: a weak password can be guessed, and a forgotten password cannot be recovered — the encrypted text cannot be opened without it. Nothing is sent anywhere by the tool.
