How this workspace works
- Choose a PDF file.
- Convert it in your browser.
- Download converted.md and check the headings, lists and tables against the original.
Turns a PDF into Markdown: headings from font size, lists passed through, simple tables detected from column positions, and bare URLs turned into links. Single-row tables, merged cells and ragged columns fall back to plain lines; no images, footnotes or multi-column handling.
Your file never left this device, so there is no server copy to delete. Download again, start over, or continue with a related tool below.

A good use for this
Turning a PDF report or article into Markdown you can paste into notes, docs, or a static site.
Limits
Headings, lists, tables and links are detected by heuristics: headings from font size (22pt or larger gives #, 16pt or larger gives ##), tables only when at least 2 consecutive lines each have at least 3 cells whose column x-starts match within 12px. Single-row tables, merged cells and ragged columns fall back to plain lines; no images, footnotes or multi-column handling. Scanned PDFs error honestly; layout and images are not carried over.
