Video compressor
Compress a video to a smaller size in your browser. The video engine produces an MP4 where it loads; if it cannot load, the tool re-records the video in your browser's supported recording format instead.
Files you choose stay on your device — they are not uploaded to Tools99.

How this workspace works
- Choose a video file.
- Pick a smaller resolution or bitrate.
- Download the compressed video and check it still looks acceptable.
Compressed in your browser with ffmpeg (WebAssembly) into a real MP4 at the chosen resolution and bitrate. Nothing is uploaded. If the engine cannot load (for example, no network for its first download), the page falls back to a browser re-recording and says so plainly.
Your file never left this device, so there is no server copy to delete. Download again, start over, or continue with a related tool below.
How to use Video compressor
- Choose a video file.
- Pick a smaller resolution or bitrate.
- Download the compressed video and check it still looks acceptable.
A good use for this
Shrinking a video so it uploads faster or fits a size limit, for example for a form or a message.
Limits
Smaller size always costs some quality. If the video engine cannot load, the tool falls back to browser re-recording in the browser's supported format instead of MP4, and says so plainly.
