Repair PDF
Try to recover a damaged PDF in your browser: re-save it when possible, or recover its text when parsers fail. Severe damage recovers text only, and structure, images and layout are lost.
Files you choose stay on your device — they are not uploaded to Tools99.

How this workspace works
- Choose a damaged PDF file.
- Try the repair in your browser.
- Download the repaired PDF, or the recovered text, and check it against the original if you have one.
Tries to recover a damaged PDF. Minor damage (missing EOF, damaged tail or xref) may fully recover via re-save; severe damage recovers text only, with structure, images and layout lost and page boundaries untrustworthy. If nothing can be recovered, it says so — it never fakes output.
Your file never left this device, so there is no server copy to delete. Download again, start over, or continue with a related tool below.
How to use Repair PDF

A good use for this
Salvaging a PDF that no longer opens, so at least its text is not lost with it.
Limits
Minor damage (missing EOF, damaged tail/xref) may fully recover via re-save; severe damage recovers text only, structure, images and layout are lost, page boundaries cannot be trusted, and "nothing lost" can never be claimed without the original. Subset-encoded or custom-encoded fonts and scanned PDFs may yield garbage or nothing.
